IPTREK is an IT services company working with banks, financial institutions and enterprises that run their own IT departments and outsource specific specialist capability rather than whole functions.
Our work sits in a specific niche: open-source platforms, deployed on-premises, integrated properly, and handed over to the client’s own staff. We are not a reseller and we are not a managed-service provider trying to own your infrastructure. The engagement model is that you keep control and we bring the expertise you do not employ full time.
What we believe
Open source is a continuity decision, not a budget decision
The cost argument for open-source platforms is real, particularly across a large institution where per-seat licensing compounds. But the argument that matters more is that nobody can withdraw the software, reprice it, discontinue it, or move a feature you depend on into a higher tier. For systems you expect to run for a decade, that is worth more than the licence saving.
The client should be able to fire us
We train your staff, document the configuration and deploy software you can maintain without us. Some suppliers regard that as commercially unwise. We regard it as the only honest way to sell expertise to an organisation that has its own IT department โ and in practice it is why clients come back.
Integration is where the value is
Any competent engineer can install a monitoring platform. The difficulty, and the value, is in the joins โ alerts becoming tracked tickets, tickets linked to assets, assets linked to contracts, work visible against governance. That is what turns several tools into one estate.
A backup that has not been restored is a belief
This is the sentence we repeat most often to new clients. It generalises: a cluster that has never failed over, a DR plan that has never been exercised, a certificate inventory nobody has checked. The control is not the configuration, it is the test.
Experience
Our background is long-running work with open-source infrastructure and application platforms, and with the integration work that makes them useful together. The sectors we know best are banking and financial services, where the combination of audit obligation, uptime expectation and data sensitivity is most demanding.
We have delivered at departmental pilot scale and at institution scale across multiple sites and data centres. Scaling a solution to fit the actual size of the project โ rather than deploying a reference architecture designed for someone else โ is the part of this work we would point to as our differentiator.
